These days, it seems like every company is jumping on the “woke” bandwagon, trying to show just how progressive they can be. From rainbow-colored logos during pride month to ads about social justice, businesses are bending over backward to pander to a small number of progressive consumers.
But here’s the kicker – many of these companies are more interested in looking good than actually doing good. And their virtue signaling often blows up in their faces.
Behind the scenes, these same companies might be exploiting labor, underpaying workers, or betraying their own “values.” By pandering to woke culture, they hope to gain customer loyalty—while alienating millions. It seems a vitamin company didn’t get the memo when it announced this hilarious new idea.
From Daily Wire:
Ritual, a multivitamin company, jumped head-first into the gender madness this Pride Month. Now, the tolerant people who insist that you call them “them” can rest easy knowing that their vitamins will also call them “them.” …“These are our Essential for You/Them stickers; made for folks who may not identify with the gendered label on our multivitamins. As someone who talks to you in the comments and DMs, our team wants to help you to celebrate and honor who you are with every order.”
So… Ritual, a company that already sounds too woke to stomach, just announced it was providing customers with preferred pronoun stickers to add to their bottles. Apparently, some customers complained about how the company provided vitamins, “For Her” or “For Him.” Most vitamin companies provide specific supplements for men and women. That’s important because even doctors admit men and women need slightly different balances of vitamins and minerals.
But if you are a transgender, you can claim that you are being discriminated against by this practice. Because you might not identify as either a man or woman! Ritual decided to placate this group by providing stickers to cover up those nasty microaggressions.
Some of these far-left consumers prefer “They/Them.” Because, you know, there is more than one person inside that skull of theirs! Instead of simply providing a quality product, Ritual cares more about pandering to a small segment of progressive customers.
This probably won’t go over well with the millions of potential customers who’ve had it up to here with woke messaging. It seems Ritual forgot the horrible fallout of Bud Light’s transgender move last year. Or the millions Target lost when it started selling trans clothing to children last June.
Chances are, this little move will result in fewer sales, not more.
Key Takeaways:
- A vitamin company started providing “They/Them” stickers to pander to transgender customers.
- This comes as many companies try to pander to progressives during the month of June.
- Ritual claims customers complained about the bottle saying “For You.”
