Donald’s Campaign Just Got a Surprise Boost – Look Who Just Went All in After Trump Victory

In a result that was predicted by many polls, Donald Trump won the South Carolina GOP primaries. He trounced his last remaining rival, Nikki Haley, by over 20 points. As he goes into Super Tuesday and later primaries, he enjoys a commanding lead.

There are still a few holdouts against a Trump 2024 ticket. But it seems most Republican voters want Trump back in the White House.

We can expect a few Senate Republicans to push back against Trump. More than anywhere else, the Senate is full of so-called RINOs. But now, the second-ranking Republican in the Senate is making his voice heard. And this is what he said about Trump.

From Daily Wire:
The second-ranking Senate Republican endorsed former President Donald Trump on Sunday as Trump’s delegate lead over GOP rival Nikki Haley continues to grow…

Sen. John Thune (R-SD), who is the minority whip, shared his decision with Fox News after Trump emerged victorious…

“The primary results in South Carolina make clear that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for president in this year’s pivotal presidential election,” Thune said.

Sen. Thune endorsed Donald Trump after he won South Carolina. The second-ranking Republican in the Senate claimed that the race will come down to Donald Trump and Joe Biden. He said the choice is “crystal clear” as he backed the former president.

There are more than a few anti-Trump Republicans in the Senate. That includes the party’s leader, Mitch McConnell. While Trump was in office, McConnell gladly fast-tracked his judge appointments.

But the second the 2020 results were in, McConnell was quick to bow to Joe Biden. Yet President Biden has done little to offer an olive branch to Senate Republicans, demanding they bend to his radical spending bills.

Other Republicans in the Senate may be coming around on Trump. As we see more primary results come in, it becomes far less likely that Haley can defeat him. Many states are left in the primary battle, but most polls are not in her favor.

Now would be the time most Republican holdouts announce their endorsements. If they want to be on Trump’s good side—if he wins the election—they will back him before it is fully decided.

Key Takeaways:

  • Sen. John Thune, the second-ranking Republican in the Senate, endorsed Donald Trump.
  • Thune backed the former president after he trounced Nikki Haley in South Carolina.
  • Trump has a commanding lead over his last rival in the primary race.
