Republicans Call for FBI Probe into Liz Cheney: ‘Criminal Witness Tampering’ Alleged

She was once hailed as a conservative stalwart and rising GOP star. But today, Liz Cheney is considered an enemy of her own party.

She became a self-proclaimed “defender of democracy” and earned her endless praise from the liberal media establishment.

However, shocking new evidence suggests her campaign for “truth” may have involved more manipulation than transparency.

The former Wyoming Representative lost her leadership position and later her congressional seat after joining forces with Democrats on the January 6th committee. Now she faces serious allegations that could shatter what remains of her carefully crafted image.

From Fox News:
Former Rep. Liz Cheney is facing calls from GOP legislators that the FBI investigate her for “potential criminal witness tampering” related to her former role on the Jan. 6 House Select Committee, according to a report released Tuesday by House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight Chair Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga.

The Secret Meetings

“Based on the evidence obtained by this Subcommittee, numerous federal laws were likely broken by Liz Cheney, the former Vice Chair of the January 6 Select Committee, and these violations should be investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” states the damning 128-page report.

At the heart of the investigation are disturbing allegations about Cheney’s “direct intervention” with star witness Cassidy Hutchinson.

The report reveals that Cheney secretly communicated with Hutchinson without her attorney’s knowledge and pushed for the witness to hire “Select Committee-friendly attorneys” instead of keeping her original legal representation.

The timing raises serious questions. Less than two weeks after Hutchinson switched to attorneys allegedly suggested by Cheney, she delivered explosive testimony under unusually secretive circumstances.

Rather than following standard committee protocols, Hutchinson’s fourth interview was conducted in Cheney’s private hideaway office with just four people present – a stark departure from the typical dozen-plus attendees in conference rooms.

Missing Evidence

Even more concerning are the report’s findings about vanished evidence. The committee failed to archive “as many as 900 interview summaries or transcripts” and more than one terabyte of digital data – equivalent to 6.5 million document pages.

Additionally, over 100 documents were encrypted with passwords that were never provided to archivists.

President-elect Donald Trump addressed these revelations directly. “Cheney did something that’s inexcusable,” Trump declared in a recent NBC interview.

“They deleted and destroyed all evidence.” He suggested that those responsible “should go to jail.”

Pattern of Deception

Cheney’s response to the allegations maintains her characteristic dismissive tone, rejecting the meticulously documented report as merely “fabricated lies and defamatory allegations.” But the evidence speaks volumes.

This isn’t just about one former representative’s alleged misconduct. It’s about the weaponization of congressional power against political opponents and the deliberate manipulation of evidence to craft a predetermined narrative.

The same person who lectured Americans about “truth” may have been orchestrating one of the most significant cover-ups in recent congressional history.

For conservatives who questioned the committee’s integrity from the start, these revelations provide long-awaited vindication.

However, they also raise disturbing questions about how many other “official narratives” have been carefully constructed through similar behind-the-scenes manipulation.

As this story continues to unfold, one thing is clear: the American people deserve real transparency, not the carefully choreographed version that Cheney and her allies tried to sell them.

The truth, as they say, will always come to light – even if some try desperately to hide it in their private hideaway offices.

Key Takeaways:

  • House Republicans uncover evidence of potential witness tampering by Liz Cheney during J6 investigation.
  • Nearly 900 interview transcripts and one terabyte of digital evidence allegedly went missing.
  • Secret meetings in private hideaway offices replaced standard committee protocols.
  • Conservative oversight reveals a pattern of deliberate evidence manipulation and cover-up.
