President to Honor B-2 Crews Who Completed 36-Hour Iran Nuclear Strike Mission

America’s military might has always been the envy of the world. When our brave men and women accomplish something truly remarkable, it deserves special recognition from the highest office in the land. Throughout history, presidents have honored exceptional service in different ways – some with medals, others with quiet thanks.

But when military personnel pull off nearly impossible missions that protect our nation from grave threats, the celebration should match their courage. These moments remind us why America remains the greatest force for good in a dangerous world.

President Trump announced Sunday that the pilots who flew the B-2 bombers in the recent strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities will be honored at the White House. These elite airmen completed a remarkable 36-hour mission that hit three critical Iranian nuclear sites with pinpoint accuracy.

From ‘The Daily Wire’:

The pilots who flew the B-2 bombers that attacked multiple Iran nuclear sites last weekend are coming to the White House, according to President Donald Trump…

“These people flew 36 hours in a small space, a big plane, but a small spaces mostly occupied by bombs, and they flew so brilliantly,” Trump said.

He added, “They hit a target the size of this circle … a little target, they say half the size of a refrigerator door from 50,000 feet up in the air. Going at a rapid speed, because they’re going very fast when they’re over a pretty rough territory. And they hit it every single time. And then they knocked out two other sites aside from that.”

Precision and Courage Under Pressure

The mission, named “Operation Midnight Hammer,” required extraordinary piloting skills. The B-2 bombers launched from the United States and needed multiple refuelings during their journey to Iranian airspace.

What makes this feat even more impressive is the precision the pilots achieved. Trump explained they hit targets “the size of a refrigerator door from 50,000 feet up in the air” while traveling at high speed over dangerous territory.

“They hit it every single time,” Trump said, clearly impressed by their performance. “And then they knocked out two other sites aside from that.”

The bombers struck critical nuclear facilities at Fordo and Natanz. Tomahawk missiles fired from American submarines also hit a target in Isfahan. After completing their mission, the B-2 crews safely returned to their base in Missouri.

Protecting America’s Interests

Trump emphasized that these strikes were necessary to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons. The mission’s success is a testament to America’s military capabilities and resolve.

“Those pilots went in there with those beautiful planes and the most sophisticated bombs anywhere in the world,” Trump told Bartiromo. “They can go 30 stories deep into granite. Who would think that’s even possible? And they did obliterate it.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also had high praise for everyone involved in the operation, calling them “warriors” who “performed flawlessly.”

“I want to recognize pilots who flew those bombers; who flew those fighters; who flew those refuelers: Warriors,” Hegseth said in a statement. He extended his praise to “sailors, on those destroyers, in those subs, on those carriers” and soldiers providing defense support.

The White House ceremony will shine a well-deserved spotlight on these exceptional airmen. Their skill, courage, and precision demonstrate why America’s military remains unmatched in the world.

When our best are recognized by our commander-in-chief, it sends a powerful message about our values as a nation. These pilots didn’t just complete a mission – they protected America from a nuclear threat while showing the world what American excellence looks like.
