Police Release Game-Changer on Boebert Case – GOP Firebrand Gets a Big Decision

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is no stranger to controversial headlines in the media. She has taken on leftist radicals and swamp rats in her own party.

Over the past year she has been under media scrutiny for her personal life after experiencing a contentious divorce. Legal proceedings and public displays have pushed Boebert into the forefront of liberal attacks and criticism within her party.

The latest incident in her ongoing personal saga had people questioning whether she was on the right side of a public outburst that was broken up by police. After the dust settled on the dust-up, Boebert received positive news from law enforcement.

From The Daily Wire:
Boebert’s ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, called police and claimed he was a “victim of domestic violence” and said that the congresswoman had “punched” him in the face several times at Miner’s Claim restaurant in Boebert’s district on Saturday, according to The Washington Post.

Silt Police later reported that the investigation was closed based on evidence at the scene and later statements by Boebert’s husband.

“Although he claimed he had been punched in the face, officers observed no marks or injury on Jayson Boebert to corroborate he had actually been assaulted,” the police statement said. “Furthermore, Jayson Boebert contacted Silt Police to recant any claims of domestic violence.”

The lack of evidence prompted police to conclude that allegations of domestic violence were unfounded, and the investigation ended.

Early reports showed that Jayson Boebert was asked to leave by restaurant staff due to the “level of disturbance” he created, according to police. Officers on the scene also requested him to leave multiple times. He was deemed by police to be “uncooperative and was physically removed from the restaurant by law enforcement personnel.”

Silt Police said that when they arrived on the scene, Lauren Boebert was “cooperative with law enforcement” at the scene. By comparison, police reported that her ex-husband “was highly intoxicated, yelling at officers, and was uncooperative with the investigation.”

“This is a sad situation for all that keeps escalating and another reason I’m moving,” Boebert said in a statement. “I will be consulting with my lawyer about the false claims (Jayson) made against me and evaluate all of my legal options.”

Boebert is switching congressional districts this year to run for a seat representing the eastern side of Colorado. The 4th Congressional District seat is open with the retirement of Republican U.S. Rep. Ken Buck. To win her current 3rd District Boebert would face a tough challenger from the Democrat who nearly toppled her in the 2022 general election.

Key Takeaways:

  • GOP firebrand Boebert is cleared of domestic violence allegations.
  • A public confrontation with her ex husband caused police involvement.
  • Jayson Boebert was asked to leave a restaurant by staff and police.
