Major City Flips Red, Hires New Chief Devoted to Enforcing Immigration Law

It seems like people everywhere are just plain tired. Tired of silly rules. Tired of seeing things go sideways. Many people just want things to make sense again. They want to feel safe in their own towns and cities.

Good news is, some leaders are starting to listen. They are remembering who they work for: the good people of their communities. And when leaders listen to the people, real change can happen. This change can bring back safety and common sense.

Leading with Lone Star Strength

One big city is showing how it’s done. In Dallas, Texas, a new top cop is making waves. Police Chief Daniel Comeaux isn’t playing games. He says his team will work with federal officers on immigration. If they find someone who isn’t supposed to be here, they will call the right people.

From ‘Fox News’:

“We’re gonna do what’s right. We’re always gonna be there to help our federal partners,” Comeaux told Fox News Digital during an interview.

This is a big deal. It means Dallas is serious about following the law. Chief Comeaux has strong backup. Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson is all for it. Mayor Johnson even said he would help President Trump get rid of illegal migrants who are violent criminals. That’s standing up for your city!

It’s interesting that Dallas is the biggest city in America with a Republican mayor. Mayor Johnson used to be a Democrat. But in 2023, he said he was switching parties. He wrote that “American cities need Republicans.” It looks like he believes strong, conservative ideas are what cities need to thrive. And the mayor’s office agrees, stating, “The mayor supports President Trump’s agenda for making America safe again.”

When Safety Comes First, Crime Takes a Hike

So, what happens when a city focuses on safety like this? Good things! Dallas has seen crime go down for four years in a row. That’s right, four straight years of less violent crime since Mayor Johnson took office. This shows that putting public safety first works.

This new approach is different from what Dallas saw before. A previous interim chief said the police would not help send away illegal immigrants who called 911. But Chief Comeaux says if his officers find someone without proper status, “we will call the proper federal agency and let them handle it.” It’s a clear change, and it’s all about doing what’s right by the law.

No Room for Lawbreakers Here

Chief Comeaux has a clear message for crooks. He said, “Anyone that has a felony warrant, at any moment, know that we could be the ones knocking at your door.” He wants to get these bad actors off the streets to keep everyone safe.

He also warned anyone thinking of causing trouble in Dallas: “Pick another city. Don’t come to Dallas, you’re not welcome.” That’s the kind of talk that makes law-abiding citizens breathe a sigh of relief. With leaders like Chief Comeaux and Mayor Johnson, Dallas is sending a strong signal. They are choosing order, safety, and common sense.

Key Takeaways:

  • Dallas upholds the rule of law by enforcing immigration with federal partners.
  • Conservative GOP Mayor in Dallas champions tough-on-crime, pro-enforcement policies.
  • Proof: Conservative leadership in Dallas leads to safer streets and less crime.
