After Donald Trump was interviewed by Elon Musk on Monday night, Kamala Harris’s team desperately tried to attack the former president with a low blow. Unfortunately for Harris, however, it didn’t take long for this to backfire.
If you were one of the one million people to tune into Musk’s interview with Trump, you probably noticed that there were some technical audio issues on the former president’s end. Though this is a completely understandable problem to have for anyone who has ever used a piece of modern technology, Team Kamala shamelessly tried to use it to falsely claim that Trump was slurring his words.
Unfortunately for Harris’ campaign, however, any American with half a brain can see what was really going on here. Once again, we simply aren’t as dumb as Harris thinks we are!

Leave it to Team Kamala to accuse Trump of slurring his words — even though the issue seems a bit more anodyne than that.Take, for instance, the “Kamala HQ” account on X — an arm of the Kamala campaign that says its job is “[p]roviding context.” (Providing answers is a different matter, though, because that might require the vice president to sit down with someone and do an interview.)
“Trump, slurring, says he’s okay with climate change and rising sea levels because he thinks he’ll ‘have more oceanfront property,’” the account stated in one post, clipping a portion of the interview where Trump talked about the fact that nuclear war is a more pressing threat than global warming. (The “oceanfront property” line was obviously a joke.)

Harris’ Hypocrisy On Word Slurring
It should be noted that it’s rich for Team Harris to be up in arms over anyone slurring their words. After all, Harris just spent years seemingly covering for Biden’s apparent cognitive failings every chance she got.
Despite Biden’s constant slurring and gaffes during the bulk of his presidency, Harris repeatedly claimed that there was nothing wrong with him mentally. She continued doing this until Biden bombed his presidential debate with Trump at the end of June so badly that it was no longer possible for even Harris to hide his alleged cognitive failings from the world.

That’s why someone else potentially slurring their words is the last thing that Harris should ever be commenting on. In this case, however, Trump wasn’t even doing that! Instead, it’s clear to anyone who listened to the interview that technical difficulties are to blame here.
Trump himself has since addressed this.

Sorry, Kamala, but after years of being forced to hear Biden’s unintelligible ramblings, the average American can now differentiate between someone slurring their words and someone suffering from technical difficulties. Whether you like Trump or not, it can’t be denied that he’s a talented speaker who would be a tough opponent for anyone on a debate stage.
In the end, perhaps that’s what Harris is afraid of most of all as she heads into her first debate against Trump. Judging by her own history of verbal mistakes, it’s not looking very good for her!
