Biden Panics As Teleprompter Breaks Mid-Speech – ‘They Turned Off My…’

Over the past four years, the American people have become all too used to Joe Biden’s frequent gaffes. Indeed, Biden can barely get through a speech without making some kind of mistake, embarrassing himself and the nation in the process.

This has left Biden completely reliant on teleprompters when giving his speeches. That’s why you can imagine how things went when Biden’s teleprompter suddenly short-circuited during one of his final presidential speeches on Tuesday.

It should come as no surprise that Biden went into panic mode as soon as he realized that his teleprompter was not working. Needless to say, President-Elect Donald Trump would have handled this very differently, as speaking off-the-cuff isn’t a problem for him.

From The New York Post:
President Biden’s teleprompter apparently short-circuited Tuesday during one of his final speeches touting his economic record — which included an abortive effort to massively expand rural high-speed internet — forcing him to consult paper notes to make up for the technical difficulties.

“One of the things that’s going on here — they just turned off my … I lost electricity here, anyway,” Biden said, visibly taken off guard just 10 minutes into his speech at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.

Some Americans who were promised broadband access in underserved and rustic locales as part of Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure law — but have yet to receive internet access — have been similarly left in the dark.

Once he realized his teleprompter was really broken, Biden struggled to speak impromptu. The fact that Biden was also battling a cold didn’t help. He frequently stopped to cough as he bragged about what he outrageously described as the “fairly strong economy” that he is handing over to Trump.

Biden Tries To Brag About His Economy

“Most economists agree the new administration is going to inherit a fairly strong economy, at least at the moment,” Biden continued as he kept pausing to cough. “An economy going through fundamental transformation. It’s laid out a stronger foundation and a sustainable, broad-based, highly productive growth.”

“It is my profound hope that the new administration will preserve and build on this progress, like most great economic developments, this one is neither red nor blue, and America’s progress is everyone’s progress,” he added.

Biden spent much of the speech trying to brag about the economy. However, even he had to admit that the economy is not “perfect” and that “still too many working- and middle-class families struggle with high prices for housing and groceries and the daily needs of life.”

That’s putting it mildly, Joe.

To make this point, Biden made the unwise joke that he was “the poorest” member of Congress. He said this despite having a net worth of $10 million. It’s also been proven that other congressional lawmakers in both the Senate and the House had less money than Biden during his time in Congress.

For Biden to brag about his economy in any way is nothing short of absurd. During his presidency, the economy went to shambles and inflation skyrocketed. This left millions of Americans struggling just to feed their families.

This speech serves as a prime example of why we can’t get Biden out of office soon enough. In the end, we can’t wait to have a president who can actually make it through a speech without a humiliating gaffe occurring.

Key Takeaways:

  • Biden’s teleprompter short-circuits during one of his last speeches.
  • Biden struggled to speak impromptu as he tried to brag about his economy.
  • The economy has gone to shambles under Biden.
