Pro-Israel Star Harassed at Special Event by Antisemitic Protesters

Have you noticed how the party that claims to champion tolerance has a massive blind spot when it comes to Jewish people? While radical Democrats lecture Americans about microaggressions and inclusivity, they’ve allowed a vile cancer of antisemitism to metastasize. From college campuses to city streets, the left’s refusal to meaningfully condemn Jew-hatred has emboldened the most radical elements of society to express their bigotry without fear of consequence.

Even Hollywood celebrities aren’t immune from this rising tide of hate. Gal Gadot – Wonder Woman herself – has bravely stood against the liberal establishment by defending her Israeli heritage. Gadot has demonstrated genuine courage by refusing to stay silent while her homeland and people are demonized.

This week, Democrats’ tacit approval of antisemitism was on full display when anti-Israel protesters disrupted Gadot’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. The celebration of her impressive career achievements was temporarily derailed by a mob that apparently believes Jewish celebrities don’t deserve to be honored without harassment.

Star Struck by Hate

Gadot’s special moment was delayed for 15 minutes when protesters showed up with signs reading “Heros [sic] Fight Like Palestinians” and “Viva Viva Palestina.” The disruption became so intense that police had to be called to the scene. Video captured by Variety showed protesters chanting “Shame on Gal Gadot” and “Up up with liberation, down down with occupation.”

Some protesters were even handcuffed by law enforcement after their behavior crossed the line from peaceful expression to aggressive disruption. All this at what should have been a celebratory career milestone for a successful immigrant woman – exactly the kind of person the left claims to champion.

Despite the chaos, Gadot eventually received her star, thanking “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins and “The Fast and the Furious” star Vin Diesel in her speech. She humbly referred to herself as “just a girl from a town in Israel” – a statement of pride in her heritage that apparently triggered the anti-Israel crowd.

Wonder Woman, Wonderful Values

Unlike many celebrities who hide their opinions for fear of controversy, Gadot has been refreshingly forthright about why she felt compelled to speak after the October 7 Hamas attacks that killed over 1,200 Israelis.

From ‘The Daily Wire’:

“But on October 7, when people were abducted from their homes, from their beds, men, women, children, elderly, Holocaust survivors, were going through the horrors of what happened that day, I could not be silent,” she declared. “I was shocked by the amount of hate, by the amount of how much people think they know when they actually have no idea, and also by how the media is not fair many times. So I had to speak up.”

Gadot’s connection to Israel runs deep – she’s not merely expressing a political opinion but defending her homeland and family heritage. “I’m not a hater,” she explained. “I’m a grandchild of a Holocaust survivor who came to Israel and established his family from scratch after his entire family was erased in Auschwitz. And on the other side of my family, I’m eighth-generation Israeli. I’m an indigenous person of Israel.”

These personal connections make the attacks against her particularly cruel. Imagine surviving the Holocaust only to have your grandchild harassed for acknowledging her Jewish identity. This is the ugly reality Democrats refuse to confront.

The Left’s Selective Outrage Machine

Speaking at the Anti-Defamation League’s annual summit earlier this month, Gadot highlighted this disturbing double standard: “Never did I imagine that on the streets of the United States, and different cities around the world, we would see people not condemning Hamas, but celebrating, justifying and cheering on a massacre of Jews.”

She pointedly addressed the betrayal felt by Jewish women: “On October 7, Jewish women were sexually terrorized, raped, murdered, and kidnapped by Hamas. We were all listening, hoping to hear support from our sisters around the world and too often heard silence.”

This silence extends to Democratic leadership, who seem more concerned with appeasing radical elements in their base than standing firmly against antisemitism. Their tepid responses to growing Jew-hatred stand in stark contrast to their immediate and forceful condemnations of other forms of bigotry.

While Gadot expresses her desire for “everybody to have good life and prosperity, and the ability to raise their children in a safe environment,” protesters seem interested only in demonizing Israel and its supporters – with the tacit approval of progressive politicians.

Key Takeaways:

  • Gal Gadot’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony was disrupted by anti-Israel protesters.
  • Despite entertainment industry pressure, Gadot has courageously spoken out as “a grandchild of a Holocaust survivor.”
  • The left’s selective outrage machine ignores harassment of Jewish celebrities while claiming to champion diversity.
