Governor Hochul Endorses Socialist Mamdani, Who Then Refuses to Reciprocate

Have you ever seen someone make a deal they instantly regret? It’s that cringey moment when they try to act tough, but everyone can see the sheer panic in their eyes. They make a bad deal, hoping to buy some peace, only to get laughed at for their trouble. It’s embarrassing to watch.

Well, that’s basically the entire strategy of the Democratic party today. The people in charge are so scared of the loud, radical socialists in their ranks that they will do anything to keep them quiet. They offer them power and endorsements, hoping for a little loyalty in return. But it never works. You can’t make a deal with people who think you’re the enemy.

From The Post Millennial:

Socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani has refused to back New York Governor Kathy Hochul after the Hochul backed up Mamdani in a New York Times opinon piece over the weekend. Hochul had said that she found common ground with the socialist candidate.

Hochul endorsed Mamdani on Sunday, saying that despite her disagreements with Mamdani, she would support him in his candidacy for mayor of New York City. However, on Monday, Mamdani did not return the favor. When he was asked by reporters about endorsing Hochul, he responded that is was premature to ask abot “the thing beyond the thing,” per the New York Post.

If you want to see this train wreck in action, just look at what happened in New York. Governor Kathy Hochul decided it was a brilliant idea to endorse an actual, real-life socialist, Zohran Mamdani, for Mayor of New York City. The next day, Mamdani was asked if he’d endorse her back. He refused. She got snubbed, right in front of everyone.

It was an immediate disaster. As Rep. Elise Stefanik pointed out, “Even Mamdani refuses to support Kathy Hochul less than 24 hours after she endorsed him!” I mean, how embarrassing is that? The governor of a huge state gets publicly dissed by a city mayoral candidate, and there’s nothing she can do about it. It shows you who really runs the show over there.

A Calculated Risk Backfires Spectacularly

Let’s be honest. This wasn’t some grand gesture for party unity. Hochul was scared. The New York Post reported she needs Mamdani’s radical voters to win her own election. So, she tried to cut a deal. She thought she could win over his supporters by endorsing him. But as one person said, “Hochul got played.” She looks weak, and the socialists look like they’re in charge.

Because they are. You don’t have to take my word for it. A veteran political strategist, Hank Sheinkopf, laid it out perfectly. He saw right through the whole pathetic situation.

From ‘The Post Millennial’:

“Mamdani looks like he’s the head of the Democratic Party in New York, not the governor. This shows the power shift. Mamdani and his movement are in charge.”

It’s an upside-down world, isn’t it? The governor is supposed to be the leader, but here she is, begging for scraps from a socialist who won’t even give her the time of day.

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

But wait, it gets even worse. You won’t believe this next part. Hochul didn’t just endorse a political opponent. She endorsed a guy who had publicly attacked her in the most disgusting way imaginable. The New York Post reminded us that Mamdani had previously accused Hochul of “justifying genocide.”

Can you imagine? Endorsing a guy who basically called you a war criminal? And after all that, when he had her endorsement in his pocket, he couldn’t even offer a simple thank you. He brushed off the idea of supporting her, calling it “the thing beyond the thing.” In other words, he told her that her career wasn’t his problem.

Look, what happened in New York isn’t just some local news story. It’s a preview. It shows you exactly what happens when a party gets taken over by radicals who have no loyalty, no gratitude, and no principles. It’s a group of people held together only by a hunger for power. This is the chaos they believe in, and it could be coming to a town near you if we’re not careful.

Key Takeaways

  • The radical left now dictates terms to the Democratic establishment.
  • Democrat leaders are making weak deals out of political desperation.
  • Alliances on the left are purely transactional and prone to betrayal.
  • New York’s political chaos serves as a warning for the entire nation.
