Heading into Election Day, many of the liberal elites of Hollywood were so confident that their beloved Kamala Harris would win that they pledged to leave the U.S. if Donald Trump got elected. They then got the shock of their lives when Trump trounced Harris not only in the Electoral College, but also in the popular vote.
Sadly, we learned back in 2016 that most celebrities who pledge to leave America if Trump wins don’t follow through with their promises. It seems that the America that the liberal elites of Hollywood love to bash is just too comfy for the bulk of them to actually flee.
Now, however, one liberal star IS actually putting her money where her mouth is by fleeing Trump’s America. Indeed, the former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has moved to England. She’s left America with her actress wife Portia de Rossi of Arrested Development fame.

DeGeneres is taking up roots in the UK with her wife Portia de Rossi, 51, and they reportedly have no plans to return to the US.To underscore the apparent permanence of the move, the couple plan to put their Montecito mansion on the market.
A person close to the former Ellen DeGeneres Show host claimed that she and de Rossi were primarily skipping town in response to the 2024 presidential election, which saw Donald Trump win a second non-consecutive term.
DeGeneres, 66, is reportedly so serious about this move that she’s cut ties with her Hollywood manager. She and de Rossi are now living in Cotswolds, a rural area of Southwest England. Located around 100 miles from London, the area is popular among celebrities.
Other stars who call Cotswolds home include David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Patrick Stewart, Elizabeth Hurley, Jeremy Clarkson and Damien Hirst. King Charles himself even owns property in the area!
Sources allege that DeGeneres and de Rossi were left “very disillusioned” by Trump’s victory. In fact, the pair were so upset that they decided “to get the hell out” of America immediately.

DeGeneres Is Out Of Touch With Reality
It should be noted that DeGeneres has an estimated net worth of $500 million. From her ritzy mansion, DeGeneres is completely out of touch with the realities the average American is facing. She’s so wealthy that she hasn’t been impacted by all the harm that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have done to this country.
Unbeknownst to DeGeneres, in Biden-Harris’ America, the economy has gone to shambles, and inflation has skyrocketed. Safe and sound in her huge house, DeGeneres has no clue that millions of illegal aliens have flooded our borders. Meanwhile, millions of real Americans are struggling just to put food on the table.
Other A-list celebrities like Cher, Barbra Streisand, Sharon Stone and Sophie Turner had also promised to flee the U.S. if Trump won. Unlike with DeGeneres, however, there’s sadly no indication that they’re actually following through.
In the end, the liberal elites of Hollywood can’t stand Trump because he doesn’t give a hoot about them. Instead, he’s a president for working class Americans who just want better lives for their families.
