After Biden’s Debate “Disaster” Rocks D.C. – Critics Nail White House with Shock Demand

This week, Donald Trump and President Biden met for the very first presidential debate of 2024. CNN arguably spent millions promoting this thing, knowing countless Americans would be tuning in. Despite claims from the White House, nearly everyone agrees on one thing:

Joe Biden did horribly. From the very opening of the night, it was clear he could not handle this debate.

The aging Democrat stumbled over his own talking points. He failed to finish sentences. What many people have believed for years, that Biden is suffering cognitive decline, became very obvious that night. Meanwhile, Trump appeared poised and collected, answering his questions with insight and energy. Now, Democrats are mulling over an unthinkable move.

From Fox News:
President Biden’s rough performance at the CNN Presidential Debate has caused an earthquake across the media landscape, ranging from “dismal” reviews to vocal calls on the left for him to withdraw from the 2024 race…

“This was a game-changing debate in the sense that right now, as we speak, there is a deep, a wide and a very aggressive panic in the Democratic Party…”

However, the most stunning fallout of the first presidential debate was the open floodgates of the media calling on Biden to step aside.

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, a longtime Biden ally, wrote the debate “made me weep” and realize Biden should step aside.

Even liberal reporters and commentators had to admit Biden did horribly. And they’ve revealed that Democrat candidates, donors, and strategists are discussing replacing Biden with another candidate. No party in modern history has forcibly replaced a candidate, but that is one option.

Democrats can force a vote during their national convention. That could spread chaos and uncertainty through the party and convince voters that the Democratic Party is out of control. The other option is for Biden to release his delegates and let them pick another nominee.

But all signs point to that not happening. Biden and his handlers refuse to admit his failures, including his disastrous debate performance. And it does not look like he is going to step down.

From The Hill:
President Biden’s campaign aides and top surrogates scrambled Friday to shut down talk he might drop out of the race following a disastrous showing at a debate with former President Trump…

“I think it’s unhelpful, and I think it’s unnecessary,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), who has been viewed as a White House contender, said on MSNBC late Thursday night. “We’ve got to go in, we’ve got to keep our head high, and, as I say, we’ve got to have the back of this president. You don’t turn your back because of one performance.”

The Democratic Party is on the verge of fracturing. Nobody in their right mind thinks Biden can win after his terrible debate performance. But Biden’s allies are making it clear that he is not stepping down. That could result in a nasty confrontation at the Democratic National Convention when both sides fight over the nominee.

Some blame Jill Biden, Joe’s wife. If anyone can convince Biden to step down, it’s her. However, she continues to pretend that Biden is qualified for a second term. People have bitterly criticized her, accusing her of elder abuse so she can hold onto power. Biden’s people can talk all they want. But the rest of the party knows voters won’t pick a man who looks more fit for a nursing home than that Oval Office.

Key Takeaways:

  • Democrats are openly talking about replacing Joe Biden after his horrible debate performance.
  • Liberals in the media revealed Democrats are panicking over Biden’s obvious cognitive and health issues.
  • However, the Biden campaign refuses to admit defeat; it is unlikely Biden will willingly step aside.
