We are entering the fall, which means the start of cold and flu season. For time out of mind, Americans have experienced an uptick in illness as the cold weather sets in. But these days, it’s a chance for Democrats to ramp up their favorite pastime: COVID fearmongering!

Most Americans have long abandoned buying into the media’s COVID hysteria. Even folks in liberal states regret following lockdown and mask mandates. Many even regret getting the vaccines–even as Biden wants to spend more cash on new ones. Some fear Democrats are going to try to bring back some of those idiotic mandates. But now, one Republican senator is hitting back.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) said Tuesday he will introduce legislation dubbed the “Freedom to Breathe Act” which will effectively ban federal mask mandates…

“We tried mask mandates once in this country. They failed to control the spread of respiratory viruses, violated basic bodily freedom, and set our fellow citizens against one another,” Vance said in a statement.

Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance is introducing a bill that will prevent the federal government from implementing new mask mandates. Federal agencies, along with many state governments, required citizens to wear masks while outside of their homes.

Mask hysteria was so strong among some people, that they reportedly wore masks even when not necessary, including in their cars or homes. Research has suggested masks did little to stop the spread of COVID. Some studies even suggested prolonged mask usage was harmful, both medically and psychologically.

There have been rumblings that Democrats will try to bring back various mandates in the coming months. The media has been hyping up minor upticks in hospital stays recently. But it does not seem that Americans have any intention of returning to the insanity of 2020 and 2021.

Biden might want to hype up COVID again, as a means of distracting from his endless failures. But that won’t cut any ice for free Americans.
