CNN Fact Checks Kamala Harris Campaign, Spotlights 8 Repeated Examples of Deception

Since Kamala Harris became the Democratic presidential nominee, the mainstream media has been fawning over her like it’s their job. Few networks have been in Kamala’s corner more than CNN, working overtime to portray her in the best possible light.

That’s why it had to have come as a massive shock to Harris when CNN just turned on her. Indeed, she was just hit with an epic eight-part fact-check that she definitely never saw coming from CNN.

Harris is simply not used to being fact-checked. You might recall that ABC fact-checked Trump five times during their presidential debate. In contrast, despite lying repeatedly, Harris wasn’t hit with a single fact-check. Unfortunately for Harris, however, her days of not being fact-checked by the press may be over.

From Daily Wire:
CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale delivered a brutal, eight-part takedown of the @KamalaHQ X account, which has been named as the Vice President’s official rapid response account, noting that it had “made a habit of misleadingly clipping and inaccurately captioning video clips to attack former President Donald Trump.”

“Fact check: Harris campaign social media account has repeatedly deceived with misleading edits and captions,” the headline read, noting that the account then blasted those misleading edits out to more than 1.3 million followers on X, formerly Twitter.

From the CNN article:

The Harris campaign deploys @KamalaHQ as a kind of irreverent attack dog, using jocular posts to draw attention to controversial, incorrect, or dubious comments by Trump and his allies. But the account, which the Harris campaign calls its “official rapid response page,” has itself made inaccurate comments on multiple occasions.

Ouch, that has got to sting for Harris!

CNN Lays Out Eight Examples

And it only got worse for Harris from there.  Dale proceeded to lay out eight different examples of the @KamalaHQ account being misleading. The first example was a video that made it appear that Trump had forgotten where he was.

In reality, a longer video from this Pennsylvania rally shows that there were some attendees from North Carolina. Knowing this, Trump pointed them out multiple times, referring to their group as “North Carolina.”

In another example, KamalaHQ posted a Trump clip claiming that the former president was saying “nothing was done wrong” in Charlottesville in 2017. Once again, the full video proves this to be misleading.

The actual footage makes it clear that Trump was not referring to the neo-Nazis or the counterprotestors who killed Heather Heyer. Rather, it was a reference to his own “fine people on both sides” comment, which he has repeatedly said did not include white nationalists. Even CNN has backed Trump up on this.

“I think he (Muir) corrected me 11 times. Of the 11 times, I don’t think he had the right to correct me at all. Didn’t correct her once. Like on Project 2025, I have no idea about — had nothing to do with me, he didn’t correct her, he knew that,” Trump said in the above clip. “Charlottesville — nothing was done wrong.”

“All you had to do is read my statement one more sentence and you would’ve seen that,” he added. “Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse (Watters), all of them, they — Greg Gutfeld — they all took that and they corrected it many times. But they keep coming with the same lies.”

Harris Targets Vance With Deceptively Edited Clip

A third example from Dale involved Trump’s vice presidential candidate and Senator JD Vance (R-OH). The @KamalaHQ account posted a clip of Vance being asked if he would consider privatizing health care for veterans. The account alleged that he responded, “I think I’d consider it.” It then abruptly ended the clip there.

CNN has since found that the @KamalaHQ account conveniently cut the clip before Vance could finish the point that he was making.

“I think I’d consider — and Donald Trump was really good at this, doesn’t get enough credit for this particular innovation — giving veterans more choice. Right?” Vance said. “So let’s say you’re in a rural hospital. Your closest VA is 120 miles away. Why force a veteran to drive two-and-a-half hours to that VA facility when he can get cheaper and good care right in his backyard? Right?”

“So I do think that we ought to open up choice and optionality for veterans,” he continued. “You know, I think that there is areas where the VA actually works very well, so I wouldn’t say get rid of the whole thing. I would say give people more choice, I think you’ll save money in the process, you’ll also give veterans a lot more optionality.”

Harris Constantly Attacks Trump With Misleading Clips

Dale pointed out that this is yet another example of deceptive and misleading editing from Harris’ team. He also cited five other examples of @KamalaHQ posting clips that either didn’t have proper context or were blatantly misleading in desperate attempts to attack Trump.

With CNN even starting to fact-check Harris, she might just be in serious trouble. She’s spent months being the darling of the mainstream media. With the liberal press seemingly starting to turn on her, however, the final weeks of this election may not be as easy for Harris as she thought that they’d be.

Key Takeaways:

  • CNN issues an eight-part fact-check of Harris.
  • CNN finds eight examples of Harris posting misleading anti-Trump clips.
  • Could the mainstream media finally be turning on Harris?
