China Publicly Acts Cool on Trump Win, But Privately Claims It’s ‘Worst-Case Scenario’

Donald Trump shocked the world on Tuesday when he came out victorious in the presidential election over Kamala Harris. Democrats worked overtime to push the narrative that Harris had this election in the bag, and that Trump had no chance of winning.

Much of the world followed suit and bought into the idea that Trump would never be president again. Unfortunately for the left, however, Trump simply could not be stopped.

In the wake of Trump’s victory, America’s foe China has been trying to play it cool. Indeed, Chinese leader Xi Jinping issued a  formulaic response to Trump’s win on Wednesday.

“Our policy towards the U.S. is consistent,” said China’s foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning. “We will continue to view and handle China-U.S. relations in accordance with the principles of mutual respect, peaceful co-existence and win-win cooperation.”

Behind the scenes, however, China has reportedly gone into panic mode over Trump’s victory.

From Fox News:
National Taiwan University Department of Philosophy professor Yuan Juzheng returned to Taiwan from a trip to China on Monday, where, he noted, nearly everyone he met with wanted to talk about the U.S. election. He told Fox News Digital a Trump win is a “worst-case scenario” for Beijing. China experts, as well as Chinese citizens online, believe the next four years under President-elect Trump will almost certainly worsen already strained ties.

During the campaign, Trump made it abundantly clear he would adopt a tariff-based approach to trade with China. Professor Yuan explained that China had “not been prepared psychologically” when, around 2018, President Trump hit huge Chinese companies such as Huawei with tariffs.

But this time around, Yuan says, China knows how much such policies will hurt, and they will come at a time when China’s domestic economy is not doing well.

“Three key issues will continue to dominate the U.S.-China relationship. They are the three T’s — trade, technology and Taiwan,” explained Zhiqun Zhu, a professor of political science and international relations at Bucknell University.

America’s Enemies Are Panicking

America’s enemies all over the world are likely feeling just like China is right now. Indeed, a Trump victory is a true “worst-case scenario” for them all.

The Biden-Harris regime hurt America in a variety of ways. They allowed the economy to go to shambles, and inflation to skyrocket. They allowed millions of illegal aliens to flood our borders. Meanwhile, millions of real American citizens were struggling just to put food on the table.

On top of all of that, the foreign policies of the Biden-Harris administration arguably could not have been any worse. They made America look weak in front of the entire world on a daily basis, letting our foes know that they could effectively do whatever they wanted to us with no fear of retaliation.

Now that Trump is back in power, however, that is all about to change. Unlike Biden and Harris, Trump is a strong leader who is always ready to send the message to the world that America is not to be messed with.

China might want to buckle up now, because they may be in for a rocky ride over the next four years!

Key Takeaways:

  • China claims to be fine with Trump winning.
  • Behind the scenes, however, China is reportedly panicking about Trump’s win.
  • All of America’s enemies should be shaking in their boots right now.
