California’s attorney general is already preparing a landslide of lawsuits against a possible Trump second term. The goal is obvious, to so tangle Trump’s time in office with needless lawsuits that he won’t be able to get anything done.
First off, this shows just how scared Democrats are of a Trump return to office. If Bonta didn’t think Trump was going to win, he wouldn’t waste time and money right now trying to fight him (also, he seems a little bit paranoid if you ask me).
Second, this seems to suggest Democrats have zero faith in democracy and the power of our government. Instead of trusting Americans to elect the president of their choice—and trusting the three branches of the federal government to do their job—Democrats are trying to abuse the legal system to get their way.
It doesn’t matter if Americans reject the left’s radical agenda. They will use whatever power they have to force it down our necks. Even if voters put a conservative, pro-American president in office, Democrats will launch endless lawsuits to protect big government, high taxes, open borders, endless wars, and socialism.
Imagine, if only Bonta used this much energy to battle crime in California? The state might actually be livable!
