President Biden’s foreign policy has been one of his biggest upsets in office. Polls reveal that voters, especially young voters, are giving the Democrat very low approval in this critical area.
Under Biden, war has been erupting all over the planet. And many fear things will get worse, since Biden is allegedly soft on communist China.
Now, with conflict spread in Europe and the Middle East, a new issue is arising. Communist regime North Korea just made an alarming “spy” announcement.
From Daily Wire:
North Korea launched what it claimed was a spy satellite into orbit on Tuesday, an operation that drew a rebuke from the White House and alarm from U.S. allies in the region.State-run media reported a Chollima-1 rocket launched from North Korea’s west coast and it “accurately” placed the Malligyong-1 reconnaissance satellite into orbit, per South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency.
North Korea, a closed, harshly communist nation, claims it has successfully launched a “spy satellite” into orbit. The nation said this move was to strengthen it’s “self defense,” but it has American allies in the region worried.
The communist nation frequently tests missile launches, firing them at U.S. ally Japan. North Korea has yet to attack another nation, but Asian nations are understandably worried. The closed nation suffers from reports of severe poverty. It receives aid from China and other nations (including, reportedly, Iran).
Some could fear North Korea will attack Japan or other nearby nations, or worse.
The White House does not appear to have a confident response to the news. It “strong condemned” the spy satellite and admitted North Korea “risks destabilizing the security situation in the region and beyond.”
But the administration has not mentioned any efforts to thwart North Korea’s attempts at spying on other nations.
It is highly unlikely North Korea would have attempted such a move under previous presidents, like George W. Bush or Donald Trump. But Biden appears to be slow to take decisive action to check hostile nations.
Critics accused him of “greenlighting” Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. His weak stance on China might provoke them to invade Taiwan. Many wonder how American intelligence agencies did not detect the Hamas attack in Israel. And that’s not to mention his disastrous handling of Afghanistan.
It is possible Biden’s apparent weakness has emboldened North Korea. Despite strong words from Washington, North Korea is unlikely fearing an actual response.
Key Takeaways:
- North Korea announced the launch of a spy satellite into orbit.
- The White House condemned the news but appears to be doing nothing.
- This comes as critics blame Biden for his foreign policy failures.
