A Quiet Indiana Road, A Preventable Tragedy: Illegal Alien Trucker Kills Four Amish Men in Indiana Crash

The back roads of Jay County, Indiana, don’t make the news very often. They wind through farmland and small towns where people still wave at passing cars and where Amish buggies share the pavement with pickup trucks. It’s the kind of place where tragedy feels like it belongs somewhere else—in a city, on a coast, anywhere but here.

But on Tuesday, that peace was shattered on a rural highway near Bryant. A semi truck barreled through traffic, swerved into the oncoming lane, and collided head-on with a Chevy van carrying four Amish men. Henry Eicher, 50, was behind the wheel with his sons Menno, 25, and Paul, 19, alongside family friend Simon Girod, 23. Three died at the scene. Simon passed at the hospital. A father and his two boys, plus a young man with his whole life ahead of him—gone in an instant. Just like that.

The driver of that semi? A 30-year-old illegal alien from Kyrgyzstan named Bekzhan Beishekeev. He’s now in ICE custody, and the details of how he got there should make your blood boil.

From ICE’s statement on the crash:

Beishekeev illegally entered the U.S. using the Biden-Harris regime’s CBP One App and was issued his Commercial Driver’s License by Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation. “This tragedy and loss of American lives could have been prevented had PA not issued a CDL to an illegal alien.”

Let that sink in. Are we supposed to pretend this is acceptable? A man who had no legal right to be in this country was handed a license to operate an eighteen-wheeler on American roads. And now four men from a quiet Amish community are dead.

A system that failed

Beishekeev entered the United States on December 19, 2023, through Nogales, Arizona, waved in by the Biden administration’s CBP One app. You know, the one that was supposed to “manage” immigration but really just rolled out the red carpet. From there, he made his way to Pennsylvania, where Governor Josh Shapiro’s Department of Transportation apparently saw no issue handing him a commercial driver’s license.

The truck reportedly belongs to a foreign carrier network that shuffles drivers and equipment to dodge violations. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy confirmed that federal investigators are now on-site. “There MUST be accountability,” he wrote, “for the community of Bryant, Indiana.”

This wasn’t a one-off. Not even close. Illegal alien truckers have killed Americans in Washington, Oregon, California, and Florida in recent months—many licensed by blue-state DMVs after being released under the previous administration’s open-border policies.

Why this fight matters

President Trump warned us this would happen. He told us an unsecured border would bring crime, chaos, and death to American communities. The media mocked him—shocking, I know. The Left called it fearmongering. But the Eicher family isn’t a talking point. They were our neighbors.

This is why ICE and CBP must be allowed to do their jobs. And what do we see from the Left? Riots. Protests. Organized efforts to obstruct enforcement and intimidate officers. They’d rather shield illegal aliens than protect American citizens.

I live in Indiana. These are my roads, my communities. The thought that my family could encounter one of these unvetted drivers isn’t abstract. It’s real.

We have to keep fighting—at the ballot box, in our communities, and in the public square. The Left’s tactics cannot stop the enforcement of our laws. Not when the cost is measured in lives like Henry’s, Menno’s, Paul’s, and Simon’s.

Their memory demands nothing less.

Key Takeaways

  • Four Amish men died in Indiana because an illegal alien was handed a commercial driver’s license he never should have received.
  • Biden’s CBP One app let the driver into the country; Pennsylvania’s DMV put him behind the wheel.
  • This tragedy is part of a deadly pattern of crashes caused by illegal alien truckers across America.
  • ICE and CBP must be allowed to enforce our laws—the Left’s obstruction tactics cost American lives.
