You know, it used to be that the really wild, out-there ideas mostly stayed on the fringes, didn’t they? Muttered in hushed tones in dusty backrooms or shouted by people you could generally sidestep on a busy street. But lately, it feels like someone cranked the volume knob on “unthinkable” to eleven, and the echoes are bouncing off walls in places that should know a whole lot better.
It’s one thing to have a gripe with the government – that’s as American as a bald eagle grilling a hotdog. It’s another thing entirely to start cheering when cold-blooded murder darkens our own streets, especially in the nation’s capital. You’d think that line would be pretty clear, drawn in bright, unmissable Sharpie. Apparently, for some, that Sharpie ran out of ink, or maybe they just prefer to scribble over it with something far more sinister.
And so, the whispers of radicalism have become a sickening roar. Last week, two Israeli Embassy employees, Sara Milgrim, 26, and Yaron Lischinsky, 30, a young couple on the cusp of engagement, were brutally gunned down as they left an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. The alleged killer, Elias Rodriguez, reportedly shouted “free, free Palestine” as he was apprehended. A tragedy, an outrage, a moment for national condemnation. But hold on, because it gets worse.
From “Social Justice” to Just Plain Savage
Believe it or not, a faction within the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) – their “Liberation Caucus” – decided this was a moment for celebration. They proudly added their name to a statement hailing Rodriguez as a “political prisoner” and his alleged heinous act as “righteous.”
From ‘The Post Millennial’:
The statement reads: “The Palestinian struggle is the tip of the spear against global imperialism. As imperialism has made the entire world its battlefield, it is justified to fight it, by any means necessary, without regard for geography.
“This holds especially true for those of us struggling behind enemy lines, inside the US, an entity that is an equal party in all crimes committed by the zionists. Whether in the besieged Gaza Strip, the Red Sea, the South of Lebanon or the heart of the US, there must be consequences for genocidal zionist imperialism, and those consequences are righteous.”
This “Liberation Caucus,” by the way, isn’t shy about its inspirations. They openly define themselves as “a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist caucus in Democratic Socialists of America.” Yes, the same ideologies that brought us gulags, famines, and cultural revolutions are apparently now the height of progressive thought for these individuals. And the killer they’re lionizing? Rodriguez himself wasn’t just an anti-Israel agitator; he reportedly mused about the “genocide of white people,” saying, “Lol you probably would have to actually genocide white people to make this a normal country.” Charming.
A Whole Network of Hate Rallies ‘Round the Killer
This isn’t just one rogue caucus having a bad day. A campaign to “Free Elias Rodriguez” was launched by a group called “Unity of Fields” (UoF) – formerly Palestine Action US – and co-signed by a motley crew of 28 other pro-Palestine and Marxist outfits, including, naturally, the DSA Liberation Caucus. Their statement declared the murders “a legitimate act of resistance against the zionist state and its genocidal campaign in Gaza,” adding, “Such counter-violence is legitimate, it is justice.”
Among the co-signers is Samidoun, a group so lovely it’s been designated a terror organization in the United States and Canada for its role as a “sham charity” for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Samidoun’s co-founder, Charlotte Kates, helpfully clarified that Zionist “embassy staff” are “legitimate targets.” Another signatory, the Bronx Anti-War Coalition, was spotted flying banners featuring the flags of Hamas’s Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades and other terror groups at a New York rally. These are the bedfellows the DSA’s caucus is snuggling up with.
The DSA: Dodging, Weaving, or Willfully Blind?
Now, the national DSA itself issued a “brief” comment condemning the murders and rejecting “vigilante violence.” A rather tepid response, wouldn’t you say, given the fiery rhetoric of its own “Liberation Caucus”? But New York’s Representative Ritchie Torres wasn’t fooled, slamming the national organization directly: “The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has publicly endorsed the barbaric murder of a young Jewish and Israeli couple. Its call to ‘Free Elias Rodriguez’ is a grotesque attempt to glorify a cold-blooded murderer.”
It’s worth remembering that the DSA isn’t some obscure book club. It boasts influential members in Congress, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib, and has a history of increasingly strident anti-Israel positions, even defending Iran’s “right to self-defense” against the Jewish state. The UoF even taunted the national DSA’s weak condemnation, asking, “what did y’all think decolonization meant? vibes? papers? essays?” Even their fellow radicals see the DSA mothership as mealy-mouthed in the face of “righteous” murder.
This isn’t just about bad optics or some internal squabble on the Left. This is about an ideology that justifies murder, celebrates killers, and openly calls for struggle “behind enemy lines, inside the US.” This is a direct threat to American values, American lives, and American sovereignty. When groups openly espouse such violent, hateful, and antisemitic garbage, they must be condemned, not coddled or ignored. Their words have consequences, and those consequences are playing out in blood on our streets.
Key Takeaways:
- DSA-linked radicals now openly praise killers and violent antisemitism on U.S. soil.
- Marxist extremists align with terror-linked groups, spewing genocidal, racist hate.
- Americans must condemn this dangerous threat to our safety and core values.
