A web of CCP connections

Henry Yin isn’t some casual acquaintance who wandered into a fundraiser once. His consulting firm, USA-China-Link, specialized in helping Chinese companies plant roots in California. His LinkedIn profile described him as the “Official Commerce Rep in US for the Province of Fujian, China.” Not exactly subtle branding.

According to China expert Jackie Deal, president of the Long Term Strategy Group, Yin attended at least 10 events hosted by United Front organizations – Beijing’s primary vehicle for overseas influence operations. In 2009, he attended the China National Day Banquet at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, Hu Jintao, and Wen Jiabao were all in the room. Yin captioned a photo from the event calling himself a “VIP.”
