For decades, conservatives have watched the entertainment industry morph into a relentless propaganda arm for progressive causes. Every awards ceremony plays out like a DNC telethon. Every late-night monologue might as well be drafted by a Democratic communications staffer. And through it all, the right has largely surrendered this territory without so much as a skirmish – content to win elections while hemorrhaging the culture.

Here’s the uncomfortable reality too many on our side refuse to confront: there are conservatives scattered throughout Hollywood. They sit at those award show tables. They chuckle politely at those monologues. Then they go home and stay dead silent, petrified that one honest sentence might torpedo their next contract. So when someone from inside that gilded machine finally plants a flag, it deserves more than a passing headline. It demands a conversation about everyone else’s refusal to do the same.

From The Daily Wire:

Hollywood star Zachary Levi endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in his bid for the U.S. Senate, telling The Daily Wire that the state needs a fighter willing to take on the political establishment.

“Now, more than ever, we need warriors willing to stand up to the establishment of both parties,” Levi said in an exclusive statement to The Daily Wire. “And I believe Ken Paxton is one of those warriors.”

Levi went further, calling Paxton a man who has “put himself on the line consistently for Texas” in battles against big pharma, big tech, and big government – the three-headed monster that conservative voters have been begging their leaders to actually confront rather than just speechify about. He made it personal, too: “Texas is my home, and Texas needs someone unafraid, and unwilling to back down when the world is against them.”

The timing here matters. Early voting in the Texas Senate race kicks off in days. Paxton faces Democrat James Talarico in a contest polls currently call a toss-up, with Talarico clinging to a narrow lead – though his unexplained 10-day vanishing act from the campaign trail during the final stretch doesn’t exactly scream “ready for the Senate.” Texas deserves a fighter on the ballot. Only one candidate fits that description.

A Hollywood voice where it counts

What elevates Levi’s endorsement beyond standard celebrity political theater is the pattern behind it. This man has been putting his livelihood on the chopping block, repeatedly, when virtually nobody in his profession will.

Consider the résumé he’s jeopardizing. Star of NBC’s “Chuck.” The voice of Flynn Rider in Disney’s “Tangled.” Lead of DC’s “Shazam!” franchise – a film that pulled in roughly $368 million worldwide. He also appeared in the Emmy-winning “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” Every financial incentive pointed toward keeping quiet and collecting residuals. He chose a different path.

It started with publicly questioning Pfizer in 2023. Then he backed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Then came the Trump endorsement in September 2024 – a move he openly admitted could crater his career. His explanation was characteristically blunt. He told The Daily Wire: “If I save my career, but Kamala Harris gets into office and we continue down this death spiral to the bottom that I fully believe that we were on – I was like, I can’t. God did not build me to do that. God built me to fight.”

That’s not political calculation. That’s a man anchored by faith who decided his conscience outranked his agent’s advice.

Where are the rest of them?

Levi ditched California for a ranch outside Austin back in 2017. He’s since called the Golden State what millions of Americans already recognized it as: “a failed state, literally and figuratively on fire.” He chose Texas. He chose honesty. He chose the hard road.

Good for him. Sincerely. Now – where is everybody else?

We all know they exist. Conservative actors, producers, directors who privately nod along with everything Levi says but won’t risk a single social media post to echo it. The left suffers no such paralysis. They parade their celebrity endorsements shamelessly, saturating the culture with their worldview while our side trades whispers in green rooms.

One Zachary Levi is heartening. But one is nowhere near sufficient. The conservative movement doesn’t just need warriors on Capitol Hill. It needs voices in every arena where American culture gets shaped – in film, in music, in every space the left has occupied unopposed because we simply didn’t show up.

Levi has drawn the blueprint. Speak the truth. Absorb the cost. Trust that God and your convictions will outlast any Hollywood blacklist. The question isn’t whether more conservatives in entertainment share his views. They do. The question is whether any of them possess the backbone to say so out loud.

Key Takeaways

  • Zachary Levi endorsed Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate, defying Hollywood’s liberal orthodoxy.
  • Levi has repeatedly risked his career by standing firm on conservative convictions.
  • The Texas Senate race is a toss-up with early voting only days away.
  • Conservative celebrities must stop whispering in private and start speaking publicly.
